Assistant Research Professor Position - High Pressure Physics (Spectroscopy)


The UNLV Department of Physics and High Pressure Science and Engineering Center invites applicants for an appointment to conduct experimental research on materials under high pressures and temperatures and to serve as a beam line scientist at the infrared spectroscopy lines of the National Synchrotron Light Source. Duties for this position will be divided equally between the UNLV campus and NSLS.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Geoscience, Materials Science or related field from an accredited college or university, and at least three years related professional experience emphasizing spectroscopy.
