Two years post-doctoral position starting in February 2007 available in Illkirch, France A post-doctoral position focusing on structural and functional studies of eukaryotic membrane proteins is opened in the Membrane Structural Biology group (Head Dr F. Pattus) from the Department of Receptors and Membrane Proteins in Illkirch (Strasbourg, France).

This project is funded by the french National Research Agency (ANR) and is willing to develop new tools for the purification and the stabilization of heterologously expressed G-Protein Coupled Receptors and Ionic Channels. The ideal applicant should be highly motivated individual and have a recent PhD degree in biochemistry (expression, purification, functional characterization, protein-protein interaction, structural biology...). Solid expertise in protein purification and characterization with interest in structural biology is expected. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with experience in membrane protein. Salary will be commensurate with experience.Applications, including a cover letter, a detailed CV and the names and e-mail addresses of two referees, should be sent by e-mail to: Dr. Renaud Wagner
