RE: Compcomm: Draft "IUCr Computing Commission's opinion on

Hi,

Just looking at my Compcomm Email archive. Did my initial
reply to David and Simon make it through to the list?

Just in case - it follows again.

'It is common knowledge that' has been deleted.

If it is the "opinion" of the Computing Commission - do we
need professional advice before making our opinions public?
(have been relatively recently at Columbia University - I am
perhaps more used to First Amendment Rights?)

Also, have read Simon's Email and think it might be better if
we first get 1 or 2 relevant weblinks to the list for members
to read up on - then put back a starting draft again.

My Email has stuffed up and it will take me a little
while to recover from this.

Lachlan.
