As requested, since I am a new subsriber, I will introduce myself.
Howdy, my name is Mike Haluska and I am a grad student at Alfred University
working for Dr. Robert Snyder. I am studying the thallium-based superconductors
and more specifically the characterization of their reaction mechanisms and
other neat stuff like that. I am also getting my feet wet with GSAS in trying
to do quantitative phase analysis on a set of quenched samples from the
aforementioned superconductors. Now that that is out of the way, I would like
to make a request. I am in need of some more basic reference texts on
Rietveld. I already have the book by Young, but some of the explanations in
it are a bit over my head at the present time. Does anybody have a favorite
book title that they'd like to share? Also, does anyone know of a GSAS
"companion" manual to help explain all of the little things you can change?
By the way, I hope I am not offending any authors of programs and books. If
I am, I sincerely apologize.

Thanks

Mike
