Dear All,
I would like to make this straight first:
DMPLOT has been entirely programmed by Dr. H. Marciniak and all
the glory, as well as the shareware fee goes to him.
Actually, in the very beginning there we two of them (that's where
D comes from), but the other guy left the business long time ago.
I have voluntered to take care of 'marketing' of DMPLOT to let H.M.
do what he does best i.e. convert our crazy ideas into computer code.
So please, do not name me as the author of DMPLOT any more , 'cause,
although H.M. is a nice and quiet person, he might get angry at some point.

Those who want to express their satisfaction with DMPLOT may e-mail
directly to: marcin@iris.unipress.waw.pl.

Bad news go to me: xray@iris.unipress.waw.pl.

------------------

Now to the point:
Recently DMPLOT has been modified to accept plot files from FullProf
and GSAS - befor it could only plot DBWS output.
The new capabilities have not been properly tested since we had only
few exaples to work with. I would like to ask those using FullProf and
GSAS on PC's and interested in using DMPLOT to send us some examples
of their plot files so that we could trace any bugs that may be in the
new part of the code. Multi-phase and TOF data are of special interest.
Generaly the more exotic the case is, the better.
Please upload the files into our ftp-server in the directory /pub/inbox
and let us know about it by e-mail. Remember to use binary transfer for
binary files and do not load everything you have - our disks are
already almost full.
BTW. The most recent version of DMPLOT is always available by anonymous
ftp from iris.unipress.waw.pl:/pub/dmplot. You might also try another
program from H.M., namely XVIEW which is in /pub/xview. It a general
plotting program with many diffraction related features. It is still
'unofficial' since we didn't have time to write a manual, but we'll do it
one day.
So,
looking forward to your cooperation
Stan.
