Hi all,

Responses in "Modern Powder Diffraction", Reviews in Mineralogy
Vol. 20, Bish & Post, ed.=20
Chapter 4 : "Sample preparation for X-ray diffraction", Bish &
Reynolds, Jr., pages 73-99 (1989).

The response is not simple and general, the following is a
citation of the above text:
"Contrary to reports in the mineralogical literature on the
preparation of <10-=B5m powders, we have not been able to prepare
homogeneous powders of this particle size using a hand mortar
and pestle without considerable effort." etc.
