Hi All,

I received the following email, and while trying, I do not seem to be
the best at explaining what Rietveld Analysis is about to the curious.
Are there any good descriptions/introductions on the web about Rietveld
Analysis/Powder Diffraction for the non-diffractionist? Is this a time
to for a competition to find out which lab can do the best one?

(A good general starter Web page explaining Powder Diffraction for the
non specialist is (unless people know of another one as well?):
http://www.geosci.ipfw.indiana.edu/xrd/techniqueinformation.html )

Cheers,

Lachlan.

PS: From memory, a Rietveld demonstrated at AECL at Chalk River,
from memory written at ISIS(?), had a very nice, clear introduction
and history on Rietveld analysis with why it caused such a positive
fuss. Is this, and the software available on the Web?
