ASCII Data Conversion

I believe the question has to do with the arrangement of the data in rows
instead of columns. I know of no graphics package that can convert these
into vertical (x-y) columns, nor does excel do it (or anything else)
conveniently. The only way I know to do this is to use a word processing
program. By finding and replacing all the tabs in the data with carriage
returns, the data become a single column, which can then be copied into a
graphics program or excel. Obviously, a conversion routine or simply a
single column output option in GSAS would ease the pain.
