Lachlan first asked me about this, as I am at present the
administrator of the Rietveld mailing list - and I agree with his
proposal - "en principe" as they say around here :-)

But I would like to ask people two simple questions:

* Can you already read bionet.xtallography (currently only 4
articles and those all advertisements) ?

* Do you already use the newsgroup sci.techniques.xtallography
and if so, why do you still need the Rietveld list ?
(s.c.x currently has 40 posts of interest to crystallographers).

BTW, sometimes people make mistakes and post rubbish to the
Rietveld mailing list. Just ignore it, or gently email the "culprit".
Don't reply to the whole list, and only email me if you think the
listserver (a machine) made the mistake, and not the user :-)
