problem with the PC-GSAS

When I try to run powpref in PC-GSAS running under Windows95 I keep
getting error messages like "error in HST 1EXC 2" (this refers to the
excluded region data record in exp file, and the default maximum 2 theta
given by the program often doesn't make sense with respect to my raw data)
or "unknown peak shape function 0-programmer error". The usual operations
in expedt before running powpref seem OK, and histogram preview looks
fine. My data input file is converted from Siemens D5000 Ascii data file.

I wonder what I did wrong. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly
appreciated. Thank for any follow-up in advance.
