Powder Diffraction Workshop

Location: University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
Dates: 12-13 June 1998

The workshop will demonstrate the applications and methods of X-ray and neutron
powder diffraction. The workshop will consist of practical "hands-on"
experience of data refinement and talks from invited speakers. The practical
data refinement will be taught through the PC-GSAS suite of programs.
Speakers include Bob Von Dreele, author of GSAS. Topics covered will include
quantitative phase analysis, rigid bodies, magnetic neutron diffraction and ab
initio structure determination.

The target audience is university and industrial researchers who may wish to
know more about these methods, as well as students who may be interested in the
area.

Registration is only $125 Cdn, or $100 for students. Accommodation is available
from $27.20/night.
