Removal from the Rietveld list of anyone mailing off-topic

This morning I arrived to find a couple of hundred emails from
the Rietveld list about the World Cup with attached (PC) documents:
these completely filled my (Macintosh) hard disk.

Despite the interest in the World Cup, this kind of email will
destroy the Rietveld mailing list; in future, anyone posting off-topic,
except by error, will be removed from the list.

I am also unhappy about people attaching documents. If you want
to distribute a document, DO NOT attach it to the whole list. Simple
tell people they may obtain it from your FTP/WWW server, or ask
them to email a specific request to you personally.

In particular, disable the "visiting card" attachment of PC emailers,
as well as the fancy HTML text, mime types etc. And please do not
repeat the whole of an earlier posting - we all get them.

While I am on my soap box, I must myself admit to hitting the email
"reply" button and replying to what appeared to be a personal email,
but which was sent to the whole list. So anyone can make mistakes :-)

But please do not do it deliberately.
