Re: mixing samples with oil/grease to make them moisture-proof?

We have been successful placing the sample on double-sided scotch tape and
covering with a thin film of mylar. Works well provided there are no key
peaks around the broad mylar peak. This also makes easy the rapid exposure
of the sample to air by removal of the mylar to follow the hydration
reaction.
