Hello all,
We are considering putting a INEL position sensitive detector on a
STOE diffractometer.
The diffractometer will use .5mm capillaries at the center of a 260mm
focusing circle. We will be using a Ge monochromator and a sealed tube
cobalt source. Is there anyone on the list who has practical advice as to
whether the difference between the 250mm circle of the Inel detector and the
Stoe machine makes a significant difference to peak widths or shapes. Also
practical considerations as to data collection time and angular resolution
as well as practical hints on aligning the detector properly would be
appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Ron
