With the sponsorship of the IUCr (International Union of Crystallography) 
and under the organisation of the IUCr "Committee on Electronic
Publishing, Dissemination and Storage of Information"; the latest version
of the Crystallographic Nexus "virtual internet" CD-ROM has been
produced.  This free CD contains a variety of state-of-the-art
crystallographic software, source code and resources and is designed 
for academics and students in laboratories that are either isolated 
from the internet or on inadequate internet links.

What is on the CD-ROM:

Thanks to permission from various software authors and website custodians, 
the CD-ROM contains a variety of single crystal and powder diffraction 
software, source code and teaching resources (primarily PC based programs 
for Windows and Linux).  This includes multiple packages relating to:

  Single Crystal structure solution and refinement software
  Single Crystal suites for Windows and UNIX/Linux
  Crystallographic validation software
  Crystallographic structure visualization programs
  Powder diffraction software :
      Visualization
      Peak Profiling
      Indexing
      Unit-cell refinement
      Structure Solution 
      Rietveld refinement packages
  Education resources including tutorials on how to use much of
     the included software
  Classic and state-of-the-art Crystallographic source code
   and source code library routines
      - GPL'd C and F77 compilers for MS-Windows are included
         on the CD-ROM.
