[sdpd] X-Ray for measuring stresses

 Hello Everyone

My name is Rogelio and I am studying at the Mechanical
Engineering Dept. in the Sheffield University.
As a part of my project I have to carry out some
X-Ray diffraction analysis for determining residual
stresses after machining; however, after reading some
books and papers about the X-Ray diffraction method
and the several techniques for biaxial Stresses
(sin^2(psi), Two-tilt, and Single Exposure)I would
like to know if someone can recommend me a book, paper
or website to determine the following points:
1. An approach for determining the unstressed lattice
spacing, considering that I am working with Ti6Al4V
which has an hexagonal system (hcp).
2. An "effective" method for indexing the peaks of the
I Vs. (2-theta) graphics of an hexagonal system, and
if there is a software for indexing those systems.
3.Determination of Elastic constants (E and v Young's
module and poisson's ratio) from X-Ray diffraction
data.

Thanks in advance for your advice

Rogelio Navarro
