Re: [sdpd] occupancy of more than 2 atoms in one and the same crystallographic position

hi there,

of course there is example in my study now. the NiFe2O4 is supposed to be having
Fe tetrahedral sites and Ni in octahedral sites, however when the particle size
reduces to nanoscale, the mixed occupany will happen and some Ni will jump to Iron
sites to share and this has been a very chanllenging topic for long time.

best regards,

Ling fei

Subject: [sdpd] occupancy of more than 2 atoms in one and the same
crystallographic position

Dear all,

I would like to ask if it is possible in one crystallographic position
to have occupancy of more than 2 different atoms (for instance: 10%
Ti, 20% Zr, 70% Nb) and if "yes" I´d like to ask for an example.

Many thanks in advance
