I believe that pure science is a kind of competition. So that if anyone <br>
correctly and fairly improves my published results, it is all correct and <br>
I should say "Thanks".<br>

I can only agree with "SDPD is there for providing a structure approach in <br>
the absence of any suitable single crystal." But absence of a good single <br>
crystal offering accurate results is not any excuse for some "results" got <br>
& published from powder data... Crystallography is also metrology, not <br>
only chemistry, physics, mineralogy, etc. and it should not be forgotten.<br>

Lastly, I am sure that "I would suggest you to open your own mailing list, <br>
perhaps entitled "Ugly SDPD - no future" ?" is a perfect idea. I would <br>
hope to find there very interesting results :-)) and in many cases it <br>
would be perhaps better if they appear there rather than in some journals ...<br>
Decades ago (when we had just Acta A, B and fresh C) my late co-worker <br>
said that he would be happy to have Acta D-Unsolved structures. He said <br>
that it would much more interesting than A+B and C ... Unfortunately, <br>
IUCr has been publishing just successfully (?) solved & refined <br>
structures.<br>
