Can participants contribute to creating a reference file with
information on how to obtain various PC/DOS/MS-Windows/OS2
based Rietveld packages.

This would include commercial, shareware and public domain
software.

I would only like to include software than can come as
pre-compiled executables and has the ability for "convenient"
real-time or near-real-time visualization of
Rietveld plots. It is dangerous
to distribute Rietveld software that does
not have the easy and quick ability to visualise the
Rietveld Difference plots.

(Possible additions are SIROQUANT, WYRIET - others?)

Following are references to DBWS and FULLPROF which
may or may not be correct. Corrections/ Comments and
additional information would be appreciated.

===========================================================

DBWS (Structure Refinement)

DBWS for DOS is available by contacting the author :-

Pf. Ray Young (ph268ry@vm1.gatech.edu)

----------------

There is "shareware" visualization software for
viewing DBWS Rietveld plots. One is called DMPLOT
and runs in DOS (or MS-Windows/OS2) and is
available by anonymous ftp to :-

sol.dmp.csiro.au:/pub/xtallography/dmplot

The contact for DMPLOT is :-

Dr. H. Marciniak
High Pressure Research Center UNIPRESS
Sokolowska 29/37, 00-142 Warsaw, Poland

E-mail: marcin@iris.unipress.waw.pl

Dr Marciniak is responsive to requests - including
the addition of other Rietveld plot formats.
The latest version of DMPLOT can also use the
LHPM *.plt format.

FULLPROF (Structure Refinement)

The FULLPROF for DOS Rietveld package is available by contacting :-

Juan Rodriguez-Carvajal
Laboratoire Leon Brillouin (CEA-CNRS)
Saclay
France

E-mail: juan@bali.saclay.cea.fr

An MS-Windows "demonstration" program for visualizing
FULLPROF plots is called DRXWin. This is available by
anonymous ftp to :-

sol.dmp.csiro.au:/pub/xtallography/drxwin
