Hi,

ARITVE, the unique Rietveld software for modelling glass
structures, is now available for PC under WINDOWS 95
operating system. Executables (32bit) and sources (C and
FORTRAN codes) are available as freeware, together with
test files. The previous ALPHA-AXP (Open VMS) version
still exists.
On the WEB :
http://fluo.univ-lemans.fr:8001/
or anonymous ftp :
aviion.univ-lemans.fr/pub/fluorlab/aritve.zip (353Ko)
once unzipped, read first the manual : aritve.man.

Running ARITVE on a Pentium 100Mhz is only 2 time longer
than on a DEC4620 : 12 minutes for the 90 refinement cycles
of the test file (2480 reflections, neutron + X-ray patterns
fitted simultaneously, 13 parameters refined).

The difference plot may be seen by DMPLOT.
