I am looking for XRD phase search/match software: i.e. software that reads
a previously acquired XRD scan, and identifies likely phases from a
database (e.g. ICDD minerals subfile). Preferably I would like to find
software for the Macintosh OS, but I would also consider DOS-based
software. Also, public domain or shareware would be preferable to
commercial software, but I would consider the latter.
I would very much appreciate any comments you can make from your own
experience with XRD search/match software. I have some experience with
uPDSM in a previous work environment, but it is much too expensive for me
to consider buying privately.
