GSAS on a SG does not use openGL. I have no problem in running the graphics
elements of GSAS using Vista-eXceed (which cannot handle openGL). The
emulator may have set up a security list which does not include an entry for
your SG or perhaps you have simply forgotten to set the DISPLAY (ie setenv
DISPLAY my.pc.uni.edu:0.0). Of course, it might just be that the xterm
emulator is not good enough.
