Hi All,

there was a further update of the BGMN Rietveld program WWW pages at
http://www.mineral.tu-freiberg.de/mineralogie/bgmn
The DOS and Win 95/NT demo's were updated for some minor bugfixes.

Going into the actually running discussion about asymmetric profile
shapes, I recommend you to have a look at the new page
http://www.mineral.tu-freiberg.de/mineralogie/bgmn/ger.html
You will see great differences for different geometries. This supports
our opinion: In principal, it is impossible to develop a parametric
peak shape function including a small number of shape parameters.
And a high number of parameters can not be refined simultaneous with
the specimens parameters. Therefore, BGMN computes peak shape functions
including dozens of parameters in an extra task. This function is used
as a constant input into the Rietveld refinement.
