Xfit diffractometer parameters

I've run some trial diffractograms through XFIT using the tutorial and
find that my peaks are mostly asymmetrical. I suspect that this is
because I'm using the wrong diffractometer settings. Ours is a
"standard" Phillips/Norelco vertical diffractometer with a constant
theta slit and a 0.2 degree receiving slit behind a graphite
monochromator. My initial runs were made with the settings suggested for
the data in the tutorial ( but using my files!). Any ideas on how I can
find out what the settings should be will be welcome. TIA.
