You will find a lot of comparisons at the following Web page,

You may also have a look at quite recent data from the 
Davor Balzar Size Strain Round Robin. The CeO2 annealed
sample with very sharp lines is studied by many systems
including conventional X-ray (with primary beam monochromator
or with diffracted beam monochromator), neutrons, and also
synchrotron X-ray (2nd and third generation) :

Of course, the third generation synchrotron is the winner... if you
