When CRYSFIRE generates ITO, TREOR, DICVOL, TAUP and LZON files, it can use rather robust defaults that the user may want to over-ride. An example of this is the DICVOL control file which may require some optimisation to search triclinic space in a time effective manner.

Though it should be noted that with the latest CRYSFIRE 9.33, it is far easier to control some common defaults from the CRYSFIRE interface - such a setting up DICVOL files that do not search triclinic space.

The manuals for the individual indexing programs are provided with the latest distribution of CRYSFIRE and can be consulted for accessing the non-generic functionality.
