The Combined Analysis methodology is an approach allowing to extract as <br>
maximum information as possible from scattering patterns [preferred <br>
orientations (ODF, pole figures), residual stresses (homogeneisation <br>
models of elastic tensors), microstructures (iso- anisotropic sizes, <br>
microstrains, distributions, faults), phase analysis (crystalline or <br>
mixtures of crystallines/<wbr>amorphous)<wbr>, structures, thickness and roughness <br>
(specular reflectivity)<wbr>]. It uses algoritmics allowing individual <br>
algorithms to interact with each others to reach a global minimum for <br>
simulataneously all the refined parameters. The Rietveld method serves <br>
the core of the methodology, and all is integrated in the user-friendly <br>
software MAUD.<br>
Each analysis type will be first described, then integrated in the <br>
combined approach, and each day of the workshop will be dedicated to one <br>
or two characterisation type (texture, reflectivity ...) and to its <br>
practice. Mornings will consist of courses, afternoons of practical <br>
training on computers.<br>
Participants are encouraged to bring their own computers to easy future <br>
use when back home. All the materials will be downloadable prior to the <br>
workshop.<br>
<br>
People working on real materials (time-consuming or hard to elaborate, <br>
rares, subjected to change under grinding or impossible to grind, films <br>
or multilayers, ...), are a priori interested by this workshop. Personal <br>
exemples can be brought to Caen, can be measured before or during the <br>
workshop.<br>

Le but est ici d'amener les personnes intéressées (doctorants, <br>
chercheurs académiques ou industriels) à savoir pratiquer une méthode de <br>
caractérisation incluant le maximum d'informations mesurables par <br>
diffraction-<wbr>diffusion de rayonnements: orientations préférentielles <br>
(ODF, figures de pôles), contraintes résiduelles (modèles <br>
d'homogénéisation de tenseurs mécaniques), microstructures (tailles <br>
isotropes et anisotropes, microdéformations, distributions, fautes), <br>
analyses de phases (crystallines et mélanges crystallins/<wbr>amorphes)<wbr>, <br>
structures, épaisseurs et rugosités (réflectivité spéculaire).<br>
La méthode d'analyse combinée est une approche permettant aux <br>
algorithmes spécifiques à chaque type de détermination de jouer les uns <br>
sur les autres pour obtenir un minimum de l'ensemble des paramètres. La <br>
méthode de Rietveld forme le corps de cette approche, et le tout est <br>
intégré à un logiciel d'analyse global du profil (diffraction ou/et <br>
réflection), MAUD, qui permet de traiter les données de manière aisée.<br>
Chaque type d'analyse sera approchée de manière individuelle d'abord, <br>
avant d'être combinée à l'ensemble. Chaque journée sera consacrée à un <br>
ou deux types de caractérisation (texture, réflectivité ...) et à sa <br>
résolution. Les journées se dérouleront par des matinées de cours <br>
suivies d'après midi de travail sur exemples concrets en salles de calculs.<br>
Les personnes désirant utiliser leurs ordinateurs personnels le <br>
pourront, et tous les logiciels et exemples seront téléchargeables avant <br>
la formation pour installation préalable.<br>
<br>
Les personnes travaillant sur matériaux réels (difficiles à préparer, <br>
rares, changeant d'état par broyage, films ou multicouches, <br>
imbroyables)<wbr>, sont a priori intéressés par cette formation. Des exemples <br>
concrets de la part des participants peuvent être discutés aupréalable, <br>
voire mesurés avant la session.<br>
