Computing School Prior to the Osaka 2008 meeting

Dear Members of the IUCr Computing Commission

We are currently working on the organisation of a Computing School to
be held prior to the OSAKA 2008 congress.

Our Committee member, Prof. Atsushi NAKAGAWA has investigated options
for a suitable site for the school. His suggestion for a suitable
meeting site is the nearby 'Awaji Yumebutai International Conference Center
on the Awaji Island'

http://www.yumebutai.org/english/index.html

We hope that the fee for the school participants can be in the order
of 500 Euro (similar to the Siena 2005 school) for 60 students + 20
teachers (free housing + meals - no travel).

What we now need is a suitable theme for this school.

Please respond a.s.a.p. with ideas and suggestions.

Best wishes

Ton Spek

Chaiirman of the IUCr computing Commission.
