I am quite a lazy man. If I had access to all those shiny
commercial tools (Material Studio, etc), not sure If I had
made any new software by myself. For instance, I
developed ESPOIR in 1999 only because there was
absolutely no direct/free/easy access to OCTOPUS, ROTSEARCH,
GAS, GAPS, DRUID (etc) doing molecule location since 4-5
years already.

Living in luxury has perverse effects, this is what I mean :
people tend to sleep more. Without motivations for making
software, you do not make them.

Use them at ESRF only, or can I get these software back home ?-).
You are well placed to know how long can be a difficult SDPD.
